EchoRelay is a social content creation and publishing product operated by The Perception
Collective ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
It is a plain-English starting version and will be updated as the product develops.
Who this covers
This policy applies to people who create an EchoRelay account and use the app at echorelay.ai, and to
visitors of our website. If you use EchoRelay on behalf of an organisation, "you" means that organisation.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, and a securely hashed password (we
never store your password in readable form).
- Content you create or upload: your brands, briefs, brand kits, voice notes, posts,
images, videos, documents and any URLs or text you provide as source material.
- Connected accounts: when you connect a publishing platform (for example Meta,
Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Threads or Metricool), we store the access token and the identifiers
needed to publish on your behalf. Tokens are encrypted at rest.
- Usage and technical data: basic operational logs and metering (for example which
AI features you used) needed to run and bill the service.
How we use your data
- To provide the service: generate on-brand content, produce images, and publish or schedule posts
to the platforms you have connected.
- To learn and apply your brand voice from the material you give us, so the output
sounds like you.
- To operate your account, apply usage limits, and provide support.
- To improve EchoRelay. This can include drawing on de-identified, aggregated patterns across accounts:
for example, if many users hit the same problem, we adapt the product for everyone.
- To keep the service secure and to prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share your identifiable content for
other customers to use.
Meta, Instagram and other platform data
When you connect a Meta product (Facebook or Instagram) or another social platform, we access only what
is needed to publish content you have created: the account or page identifiers and the permission to post.
We use that access solely to publish or schedule the content you ask us to, store the
associated token encrypted, and never share it with third parties for advertising. You can disconnect a
platform at any time from within EchoRelay, which removes our stored token for it.
Service providers
We rely on a small number of trusted third-party providers to run EchoRelay, covering areas such as
hosting and storage, AI text and image generation, publishing, and email. Each receives only the data
needed to perform its role, and we do not sell your data to any of them.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual items,
brands, or connected accounts from within the app at any time.
Deleting your data
To delete your account and the personal data associated with it, email us at the address below and we
will action the request. You can remove a connected social account yourself at any time from within
EchoRelay, which deletes the stored access token for that platform.
Security
Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, connected-platform tokens are encrypted at rest, and access
to your data is scoped to your own account. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures
to protect your information.
Cookies
EchoRelay uses a single essential cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or third-party
tracking cookies.
Children
EchoRelay is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect
their data.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new
"last updated" date.
